Drywall & Asphalt!
The drywall is going up, and it feels like an exciting new chapter in our building progress. Hallways and rooms are no longer just outlines on a blueprint. You can now walk through and truly feel the spaces where children will learn, play, and grow. We are also so excited to officially have asphalt in the parking lot, bringing us one step closer to welcoming families safely and comfortably into our new home. What once felt like a construction site is quickly transforming into the Respite Care we have been envisioning for the past several years.

We have a building!
The framing process is well underway, and it is an incredible milestone to witness. Individual rooms are taking shape, walls are going up, and the entire structure is finally starting to resemble the welcoming space we have been dreaming of. You can now walk through the layout and see where classrooms, play areas, therapy rooms, and staff offices will be. It no longer looks like a construction site, but is starting to feel like Respite Care. This is exciting progress!

Structural Framework!
The trusses are going up! This exciting step is shaping the roofline and bringing the new Respite Care building to life. With each beam, we are one step closer to welcoming children and families into a space designed just for them. Next up, we will have outer walls!

Beams, Joists, &
Framing
Exciting progress is happening on site! The column beams and joists have been installed and welded, and the roof deck is expected to be complete. Starting Monday, June 2nd, exterior framing began. This process will take about a month. Overhead electric, fire protection, and plumbing installations are scheduled for June 5th, and on June 9th, our timber framers will arrive to bring even more character to the structure. In just a few weeks, the site will start to look like a real building—stay tuned as everything takes shape!

Beam Signing &
Steel Installation!
Steel is officially up at the site of our new building, marking a major milestone in the construction process. The structure is taking shape, and it has been exciting to see the outline of our future home become more visible each day. Recently, we invited staff, board members, and a few supporters to take part in a beam signing where they added their names and messages to a structural beam that is now part of the building for years to come. It was a simple but meaningful way to recognize the many people helping to bring this project to life. We are grateful for the continued support and look forward to sharing more updates as construction moves forward.

Foundation is Poured!
We are thrilled to share a major milestone in the construction of Respite Care’s new facility - the foundation has been poured and the footers are officially in place! This exciting step marks the beginning of our building truly taking shape.
Next up in the construction process? Vertical construction begins soon! Walls will start going up, framing will begin, and our new home will slowly rise into view. Every new beam and board will bring us closer to opening our doors and welcoming families into a space created just for them.
We are incredibly grateful to our supporters, donors, and community partners who have made it possible to reach this point. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue building!
