At Respite Care, we maintain a staffing ratio of one trained staff member for every three children to ensure each child receives safe, attentive, and individualized care. In addition to our staff, our volunteers play an incredibly important role in the daily experience of the children we serve. While staff focus on meeting each child’s needs, volunteers provide meaningful one-on-one connection through activities like playing games, reading stories, and simply spending time together.

Our volunteers truly are the “frosting” on our program. They bring an extra layer of joy, warmth, and personal attention that makes Respite Care so special. Volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year, so we’d love for you to reach out and learn how you can get involved.
